Have you ever felt like you are just moving sooo fast – rushing from one task to another? You’re so busy and have no time and before you know it you’re back in bed and ready to wait for the next day of madness to start?
I guess this is most of us on a daily basis.
Whether it’s your job, or rushing around with the kids or just completing everyday tasks, we all occasionally have days where it’s just feels like *whoooooossshhh* Day. Over.
Well I have recently been making a conscious effort to balance these ‘days filled with stuff to to do’…out with much slower days. The ones where you can actually take a moment to enjoy life and notice all the incredible things around us.
The ‘delicate details’ in our everyday lives.
How taking up photography has helped?
Photography is one of the things that has helped me slow down the most. I am always looking for the little details that I would ordinarily take for granted or completely miss.
And because I currently use the Olympus M.Zuiko 45mm fixed prime lens (photography jargon for: It’s already Zoomed in, and there is no Zooming out)…this means I get a lot of photos that are close-ups.
Close-ups of little details that I would ordinarily miss in the whirl-wind of everyday life.
So I thought hey, let’s share some of these detail shots that I’ve taken so far, and maybe it will encourage someone else to notice the little delicate details in their life.
Maybe this will be your moment to slow down for today?
Or maybe you just want to scroll through some photos for some photography inspiration.
So here they are…my photography captures of some of the delicate details in my life.

Let me know which are your favourites in the comments below, and whether or not you are making a conscious effort to slow down occasionally too?
I’d love to know what your tips are for doing this as I’m definitely one that needs some tips on scheduling some ‘self care’ time in too.
Have a lovely day,
